Funding Determination Form
The Funding Determination form must be completed and submitted at least one week prior to the class start date. This document is required for all students, even if you are self-pay. If you are being funded by an agency, employer, or other entity, the middle section must be completed by the payor.
Title IV Funding (Pell and Student Loans) are not available for this course! Full tuition must be paid prior to start of class unless agency funded.
We do offer a Commercial Truck Driver Student Aid Program, see info below.
These courses are designed to prepare students to pass the State of Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) test as well as succeed in the trucking industry as a high demand, professional truck driver. Students must have a valid driver's license. Students must also be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical, and a drug screen, which will be completed during the first week of the class and is included in your tuition.

Beginning February 7, 2023 all Mid-East CTC Adult Education Truck Driver Training classes will require a seat fee of $200.00 upon registration. This seat fee is non-refundable, but does apply to your overall tuition if you attend and complete class.
Agencies or employers who are funding an individual's training must contact our Financial Services office regarding payment options. Please call 740-455-3111.
Classes will be scheduled year-round based on enrollment and availability.
Truck Driver Training - Class A Unrestricted
- 5 weeks (Mon-Thurs)
- Semi-Truck - Tractor Trailor
- Tuition/Fees: $5,000*
Truck Driver Training - Class B
- 4 weeks (Thurs-Fri)
- Dump truck/water truck
- Tuition/Fees: $2,500*
CDL Refresher Training Options (Mid-East CDL students only)
- 8 Hr Course - $800*
- 24 Hr Course - $1,400*
- 40 Hr Course - $2,000*
- Student must obtain CDL A Permit and Driver Abstract from BMV before training will begin.
- Student must provide evidence of a clean (negative) drug test within one week of starting training.
CDL Online Hazmat Training (self-paced online)
- 16 Hr Course - $150*
Students
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must pass a drug screen (completed during class)
- 18-21 years of age may only drive in-state
- Must have no more than four(4) points on his/her current license
- NO DUI/DWI/OMVI motor vehicle substance convictions in the previous five (5) years.

Commercial Truck Driver Student Aid Program
Mid-East Adult Education is pleased to provide financial assistance to Truck Driver Training students through the Ohio Department of Higher Education's Commercial Truck Driver Student Aid Program.
Important Details about this funding:
- The total amount of the award shall not exceed the cost of tuition and related expenses for the student's program.
- Half (50%) of the award will be in the form of a grant, and half (50%) of the award will be in the form of a forgivable loan. Click here for Mid-East Adult Education's Funding Information sheet.
- Students must electronically sign a promissory note with the Ohio Department of Higher Education for the loan portion of funding. Click here to see a blank sample copy of the promissory note.
Upon a student’s completion of the CDL program, the student must submit a verification of employment when the student starts employment (within 60 days after the student’s completion of their CDL program) and after one (1) year from the student’s date of Program completion. Funds may be exhausted at any time. Students will be awarded first come, first serve.
