Notice Regarding Power Line Technologies (2026 - 2027)

Mid-East Career and Technology Centers remains committed to providing exceptional training opportunities that algin with industry needs and workforce demands. At this time, the Adult Power Line Program will not be offered for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Students will learn to:

  • Climb utility poles and towers in modern indoor and outdoor facilities
  • Construct, troubleshoot, and upgrade power grids that link electricity to homes and businesses
  • Operate bucket and auger trucks for power line maintenance and pole installation
  • Earn CDL Class A Unrestricted certification

Included in above are tuition, fees, books, laptop, toolkit, CDL training and supplies.

  • Tuition & Fees:  $15,136.00

Pre-Admission Requirements

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a current valid driver's license.
  2. Complete the Power Line Technologies Adult Education application online. You will then gain access to your online account portal. 
  3. Submit a copy of your high school/equivalency transcript (not the Diploma) via the online account portal.
    • Contact your high school for your transcript even if you completed a Mid-East CTC high school program.
    • Go to: https://diplomasender.com/#/ to obtain a copy of your equivalency transcript
  4. Upload a current valid drivers license through your online account portal.
  5. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using the following link https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.                                   
    • Use school code: 012967 for Mid-East CTC Adult Education.
  6. Applicants are required to attend a mandatory assessment day in late April. Additional information will be mailed in February to applicants.

**Students will be required to to pass a drug screen in order to continue in the program.
