Students will learn to:

  • Save lives by providing critical care in real-world emergency and trauma situations
  • Interact with patients, hospital staff, firefighters, and law enforcement while gaining experience in advance medical procedures
  • Use advanced diagnostic equipment to preform detailed medical and trauma-patient assessments

Upon successful completion of the Paramedic program, students are eligible to take the National Registry Exam.

Pre-Admission Requirements**

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age
  2.  Complete Paramedic Adult Education application online. You will then gain access to your online account portal. Application deadline is March 31, 2026.
  3. Submit a copy of your high school/equivalency transcript (not the Diploma) via the online account portal.
    • Contact your high school for your transcript even if you completed a Mid-East CTC high school program.
    • Go to: https://diplomasender.com/#/ to obtain a copy of your equivalency transcript
  4. Submit or take the WorkKeys assessment and earn a passing score of four (4) on Workplace Documents, Applied Math, and Graphic Literacy. Test score submissions or testing deadline is May 1, 2026
  5. Submit EMT certification through your online account portal. Serving one (1) year of experience preferred
  6. Submit a copy of your driver's license through your online account portal
  7. Submit a copy of your NIMS-100 and NIMS-700 certificates through your online account portal
  8. Submit verification of Anatomy & Physiology coursework (minimum high school level) via your student portal. If you do not have previous Anatomy & Physiology coursework, you will need to complete a course in order to meet the requirements for acceptance. 
  9. Schedule and take the Mid-East CTC Paramedic entrance exam. Additional information will be sent via email to schedule your entrance exam AFTER the application deadline.
  10. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using the following link https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.                               
    • Use school code: 012967 for Mid-East CTC Adult Education.

Upon acceptance:

  • Before the program begins student will complete a BCI/FBI background check through the Adult Education office. The background check must be free of any offenses disqualifying you from the program.
  • Students will also submit a copy of there immunization record and current flu shot through your online account portal.

Students must pass the Paramedic National Registry Exam and gain state certification card to obtain employment as a Paramedic.
