Heavy Equipment Operations

Heavy Equipment Operations Instructor: Clay West

Students will learn to:

  • Operate and maintain bulldozers, excavators, skid loaders, and other construction equipment
  • Load and move dirt to shape the earth to proper grade for effective site preparation 
  • Perform critical blueprint interpretation, transit level operation, and excavation techniques
  • Earn Class A Unrestricted certification

Monday – Friday  8:00 am - 3:30pm

This program is offered twice throughout the year (July-December, January-May)

Total Program Charges: $12,028*

Includes tuition, all books, laptop, CDL training, materials, personal protective equipment, all certifications and fees

Breakdown of Total:

  • Tuition & Fees: $10,385.50
  • Books/Laptop: $1,040.00
  • Supplies: $552.50

Pre-Admission Requirements

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a current valid driver's license
  2. Complete the Heavy Equipment Operations Adult Education application online. You will then gain access to your online account portal. 
  3. Submit a copy of your high school/equivalency transcript (not the Diploma) via the online account portal.
    • Contact your high school for your transcript even if you completed a Mid-East CTC high school program.
    • Go to: https://diplomasender.com/#/ to obtain a copy of your equivalency transcript
  4. Upload a current valid drivers license through your online account portal.
  5. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using the following link https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.                           
    • Use school code: 012967 for Mid-East CTC Adult Education.

**Students will be required to to pass a drug screen in order to continue in the program.
